Video: Radford Lotus Type 62/2 in action

25th June 2022

The Radford Type 62-2 made its public debut at last year's Goodwood Revival, and now it has been put through its paces at the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard.

The Californian-built Radford takes its inspiration from the short-lived Lotus Type 62 racing car and uses a Type 111 platform from the outgoing Exige that has been reworked to turn a sports car into a supercar. The company is headed by Ant Anstead and Jenson Button, both of whom are at the event througout the weekend.

It promises to combine retro – yet somehow simultaneously modern – styling with an analogue drivng experience the like of which we may not have in new cars for much longer. And with Lotus-based handling tuned by a Formula One world champion, we can expect it to be a very good steer.

You can catch all of the action from the 2022 Festival of Speed by watching our live stream.
